November 1 Last Day Sea Green Hotel

Greetings again! Quiet Sunday here. Walked along the Marine Drive Promenade, examined large leaves and flowers from the trees. I went on a quest to draw money, which has proved a real challenge, with problems from the bank. Soon after, I took a taxi to the former Prince of Wales Museum, which has a long long Hindu name that I can't remember! I met my friends, Shibh and Fazalu, who have been an amazing help to me navigating Indian life! They helped me find a bank that did accept my card, and we spent a few hours at the museum. One pic is of them in the gardens of the museum. It is a huge museum, and we saw amazing Indian stone statures, and many artifacts, coin collections, paintings, textile histories, ceramics, and lots more. We saw a short movie of the history of Mumbai as well. Some of the museum is air conditioned, and some not. I had some sweet fresh lime juice, and we made our way back to my hotel room to cool down!! Fazalu is a very devout Muslim, and laid out a mat, and said his prayers. Shibh is Hindu, so we waited respectfully for Fazalu. The pair were on their way up north to college, as they had written some exams today! I am honoured to have met such friendly Indians, and sad to say goodbye. I include a pic of a red sun! It was even more impressive than this pic, and I had never seen one before.
