November 8 : Sunday

Up early for my hour's walk with the urban crowd along Marine Drive. I enjoy the Indian omelette for breakfast, made with green chillies, tomato, and onion. The tea is the best: real black Indian tea with the great flavour. I have a tea strainer, and separate milk. No weak Canadian tea here. The daily banana is very tasty with toast and jam! This is free!! I finished planning the music and actions for the concert. It is due tomorrow. I also spent a lot of time doing a word doc of my yoga practice, so that I don't forget it. I will be doing different practices in other parts of India too, no doubt. Then I went to Shiv Sugar and had spinach dosa, which was excellent with coconut chutney. Only $2.50 I took pics of the guys chopping tomatoes inside the front of the restaurant. It is air conditioned at the back.I then walked up to Flora Fountain statute to draw money....a bit of a trek. Then decided to take pics of the cricketers....hope you can see them in the pics. There are two huge cricket grounds right here in Mumbai: one by my hotel, and this one, the Karnataka cricket ground.I stopped to have fresh coconut juice....the guys slices it open with machete and drink!! Lovely for 80 cents . I got lost on the way back.....crackers are going off, and scare me.....in preparation for Diwali. The side walk often has dogs, usually asleep in the heat, and two babies, just lying on the sidewalk asleep!! The pic of the tree with the white flowers is Frangipani I think. I was so so hot, and soaked in sweat getting back, that I had to have a shower. The shower doesn't work, so I wash "Indian" style: you use a plastic scoop, and pour water over yourself. It was so refreshing to get back into the AC!! I have not had any sunburn as I have this 50 SPF shirt!!!!

 Preparing for the meals tonight. I always eat at this restaurant. Cheap and healthy: great.

 This pic is for Kathy and Dave. I have never seen so many books in this outdoor bookstore, with tarp top. It extends way further on. Lots of current books. Often books are sold on the sidewalk, just literally arranged on the sidewalk. Many are very topical, and books you would find in Canadian bookstores! Go Kathy and Dave!
