Bed tea at 6:30 AM in Zim tradition. Thanks Don!! After breakfast Don drove me to Amanzi, a restaurant which has a farmer's market once a week. It was a very exotic environment in terms of the huge trees, bamboo, palm trees, orchids etc. I share some pics. I'm really into health, and bought baobab powder ( a super fruit ) some raw peanuts( ground nuts) which Carrie later roasted! I found out that Amaranth is anti cancer, and bought some of this grain to put on breakfast cereal etc. The Banting diet is very popular in South Africa and Zim, and there were delicious carb free snacks, lovely veggies, free range eggs, baking etc. I had a lovely coffee there, and Carrie picked me up after an hour and a half. We came home and then Don and I went to have lunch with Mike and Wendy. Mike is his brother ( my cousin) and we had a lovely pork lunch, drinks, lovely dessert. Mike lives in Borrowdale/Brooklyn, a secure village. He also has borehole water, and a great garden. I took pics of some of the flowers. It was great to chat about our common past....Mike and I go back about 50 years!! I had not met Wendy before. We all had a great time catching up on family history. Don then drove us home, and we had a short nap. Then Carrie drove me, with Iain, an artist to an art exhibition at a place called Kiki which is a craft studio. Many folk were there, and there was wine tasting, and purchase. I took pics of some of the lovely environment before it quickly got dark. The paintings were great. I enjoyed those that were realistic and those that were expressive and colourful. There were many outdoor sculptures which is a part of the Zim scene. Mostly whites were looking at the paintings. I got chatting to the Malaysian diplomat. I thought he was an Indian, but we talked, and he gave me his card, and tried to talk me into moving to Malaysia with great persuasion. I am tempted after hearing what he had to say. Carrie, Iain and I had a great time, then came home. Don, Carrie and I visited and I need to go to bed now, as Don and I go to Masvingo( Fort Victoria) my hometown tomorrow at 10 AM. Thanks for checking in. Stay tuned.
