March 31 Central Muizenberg, some ways up the mountain

A very quiet day adjusting to the new guest house. A lovely breakfast. I spent time planning on the computer, reading, resting, enjoying the sea air in the room, the amount of light in the room, and staring at the sea from the balcony. I picked up supplies from Checkers and made food for myself in the self catering part of the B & B. This place is very comfortable, like a home, with two cats. The owner collects butterflies, and pins them onto frames. Sounds cruel, but this is his hobby. He does a lot to preserve environment for butterflies, and really understands them. There is enormous biodiversity in this part of the Western Cape. This hobby would be interesting to Canadians. Andrew, the owner is the local president of the butterfly society here. He preserves them with camphor!

I had a good walk to the sea, and along the seafront, so had tons of good sea air. It is so healthy to live this close to the sea. I love it. Thanks for checking in!
