Passing from 23 to 24 February happened somewhere along the line, mostly blurred. Anyway it is my dad's birthday. Johnny picked me up from the airport, and took me to Pretoria to his lovely thatched home, complete with armed response. Many homes here have both armed response and electrified fences along the top of high walls. So good to be here. Had a lovely dinner with Johnny and Lani. Wonderful to have a shower, and recover from the journey. I took pics of Johnny's place. He is my cousin, and we were in the same class at school. He has a budgie that natters away most of the time. Amazing birds, the South African lourie arrived. Early to bed!!
