I should just let you know that I am in the foothills of the Himalayas, and on the Ganges. This place is very spiritual. The prana or life breath comes from the mountains to give life.
The situation did not ease but got worse in the morning. Rainy weather and power outage, so everything was in the dark!! I was so weak and dragged myself to the ashram to get water, and found a toilet. Forgot toilet paper!! So you use ice cold water from a tap right next to the toilet!! Total nightmare I'm afraid. Skipped breakfast and lunch. Got an auto rickshaw, because I had no energy to walk anywhere. Got antibiotics for the issue, and got some pharmacy supplies. Then bought cotton yoga pants, and warm sweats. Then I dealt with the issues at the hotel: got the toilet fixed ( but now the lid does not lift, but at least it is useable !!) Came back, and got a heater for the room, which costs extra but is worth it. Got help with the shower, which now works. Each hotel needs care about how to operate showers, and mixing the water here is an art I have now mastered!! I then slept for quite a while, and went to supper. Ate very little. Back doing blog and bed. It has been a shock to me how the adjustment to a new place takes a huge toll on me. If the weather warms up in a few days I will stick it out here, but today was ready to relocate further south in another ashram. One day at a time! I pray for recovery tomorrow.
