Jan 26 2016 HAPPY INDIAN REPUBLIC DAY!!! Lots of pics!!

Malay Vanadium!! Up for early breakfast 7:30 AM At 8 Guna picked me up on his motorbike. We drove to the Stadium, as he had got me a VIP ticket to watch the Republic Day celebrations in Puducherry. We sat in a special decorated tent with the Chief Minister of Puducherry. Real flower garlands are hanging ( see pics) and the women have real flowers in their hair. The white magnolia flowers have a powerful and lovely scent. There were presentations to Army Police and people recognized for community service etc....lots of awards. Then many cultural dances and displays by various schools, all of whom were competing for excellence awards. It was a very good show. Many floats went by and all are for you to see, or at least some, as I took too many. What a great opportunity and privilege to see this. I am grateful to Guna.
