January 2 2016 Tea Nest Tamil Nadu Singara Tea Estate: the day of yoga....take note yogis!!

Good morning! Early start to meet Vinod at 7:30 AM. Got up too early. Met an Indian couple up at 6:45 AM to watch the sunrise!! When did you last see the sunrise? I joined them. Big fat noisy birds in a nearby tree provided background ambience. Magical! The rays of the sun lit up the tops of the tea bushes, and it looked awesome!! Then tea to warm up. Remember it is cold up in the mountains. I have a heater that doesn't work, but am warm in my bed itself. Vinod came, and sat on his grass mat, and brought a mat for me. We did the pranayama series, but this time I wrote notes. I will offer this in Yoga Within if Mel wants me to share it. Very beneficial for me. The session was 2 hours, and Vinod and I had breakfast together afterwards. He is my nutritional advisor too of course.  After, we chatted. He trying to break the Western certainty, and security of travel arrangements, because I now plan to stay longer here. Everything is now up in the air, including the airfare to Chennai. Anything can now happen!! He is coming back in a half hour to do a few more hours of yoga with me, and after that we both go to do yoga at the Taj hotel till 6 pm. I will have NEVER done so much yoga.( remember this is not all physical yoga: I can hear Mary reminding me that the asanas are only one of the 8 limbs!!)

Vinod returned at 11:45 PM. I agreed to start a Reiki course with him, which is derived from yoga. He says he will certify me. It sounds good to me, so I started, and we did 4 hours of instruction. It was not physically demanding of course, mainly sitting, feeling vibrations for self healing, and healing others. I have a manual to read tonight. We had tea, and resumed. At 4 we went to the Taj, and did pranayama till 5:30 PM.....nearly 8 hours of yoga in one day. Sounds very hectic but it wasn't one of Mel's classes that is physically demanding. This has just happened, and I am going with the flow of things. We'll see where this leads. I definitely felt the power of powerful vibrations in healing hands, and energy transference. Lots to learn here. A journey to the unknown. So much of Vinod's wisdom resonates! After yoga, we again went shopping. I bought incense to burn, and fruit, nuts etc. He took me home so I didn't encounter a bison. I actually did encounter one this morning, a large one, that eyed me. It was among the tea bushes and didn't seem to be concerned about me. At night it may be a different story. Good night, fair reader, and best wishes this 2016!!

  1. The pranayama and reiki sounds amazing Dave. I continue to see a healer who works with frequency light upgrades, vibrational attunement and light body integration. I know that in my sessions I can feel the energy moving in my body so strongly. Enjoy the journey, wherever it takes you!!
