Slept in, adjusting to the sudden change of altitude. It rained all day, one of those rainy days I remember as a student. I had to stay in all day, as there was not one car to rent in Grahamstown!!! I hope there will be one available tomorrow and for the next two days, as I won't see much here at all. There is a lot I can do on foot, but it is quite cold here now, and I have no raincoat or umbrella!! I can hear the marauding student drunks out on the streets at the moment. I read my Shantaram book, a novel on India, and was thrilled to get my laundry properly washed by the African lady who is my hostess here. She did a great job. I indulged in having food brought in ( first time since I left Canada) as it was too dank and wet to go out. If there is no rented car, I will go and buy an umbrella, an essential in Grahamstown and get some exercise walking. I am now ensconced here, and hope to get some pics of Bots ( Botanical Gardens) and other familiar Grahamstown landmarks. That's all for now, sorry no pics today: an enforced rest day. Have a good day!!
