Tuesday March 15 Departure to PE

I left at 5:30 AM with the Grahamstown shuttle for PE, and was dropped at Lungile Lodge for backpackers., which is the pick up point for Baz Bus, as I am on my way to George to see my cousin, Barbs!( Everyone foreign and under 30!) I didn't spend long here, as I was picked up by Marius Lourens and taken to the venue in Kragga Khama, an upscale area of PE to see my mother's Beckstein Grand, which she had given to my brother Rob. The piano had been sold in 2004 by Rhodes, unbeknownst to us. The new owner took me to the venue. It was an excellent place for the Beckstein grand ( 12 feet long, black). He is an artist, and there was artwork on the walls, everything set up for concerts/entertaining. I played the piano, and got his contact details, so that he complete  the business of the sale of the piano, withe my brother in the UK.It was very emotional to see this lovely piano again, which came from our home in Zimbabwe. We used to play two piano works on the piano ( together with our own upright piano). We also had many happy hours playing piano duets on the Beckstein. I took many pictures, and a video of me playing Jesu Joy, which was our family signature tune. I went on a tour of this 2.4 acre estate, Swan Lake Gardens ( check it out online) It was gorgeous, well maintained with tropical plants, and flowers. Of course swans swimming, black swans, and white swans with black necks. Exotic plants, lawns, ornaments. Quite a magical place. More picsAfter this, Marius treated me to lunch and returned me to Lungile. I just relaxed the rest of the day.
