Breakfast outside with the monkeys by the pond. Always attempts to steal food. Then we went off by safari van to the Kruger. We have a huge drought in southern Africa, but there was a heat wave today. It was so hot it spoiled the trip. Sun is blistering, and there was a hot wind blowing into your face, just light putting your face into the washroom hand dryer!! I did not enjoy the day with a 44 degree heat wave. I just wanted to get home, but it is still so hot here. COLD showers help a bit.
We saw rhino in Kruger, with horns, but the anti poaching unit was around.
Below: giraffes sitting due to the heat. All animals were hiding in the shade, so we didn't see a lot.
Below: tow male lions resting under the bushes. The pic is bad. Good to see the lion.
Giraffe crossing
For those who love the cute cuddly animals.....baby Nyala around our camp.
