Sunday MAY 29 Romsey: departure to Heathrow : the journey begins again

I finished my Indian novel, had a good walk at Tadburn meadows. The meadows have lots of yellow buttercups, and daisies in the grass. Birds are very busy singing. We skyped Rob, and finished the final packing details.

This trip to India is characterized by uncertainty. I have no fixed return tickets ( they have to be rerouted as all the dates were changed on me too late!! ) and I will have to leave Tamil Nadu for Sri Lanka to apply for a month long July visa, only when my June Indian visa runs out. I had plans in place, but everything changed due to unforeseen events at the mountain top clinic. I am playing things by ear. I don't have accommodation in Coonoor ( a mountain top town ) where I will stay for a month. I had not intended to spend an extra month in Coonoor, but now it is happening. Nothing is certain. My plan is to do yoga in Coonoor, walk, and enjoy the stay until I can attend the MTC in early July. I still have faith that the holistic Ayurvedic experience there will be beneficial for me. We will see...............

Had my last meal with Rog and Ros, and they drove me to Winchester about 15 minutes away to catch the National Coach. It took about 90 minutes to get to Heathrow. Got to the terminal, and was at zone C in not time. Well, I had to do it this way, as Monday is a Bank holiday, and trains, coaches are full. My flight is due 9:30 AM tomorrow, so way too early, so, for the first time ever, I spent the night at Heathrow on a bench. There were about 5 other guys, and we all took one long bench each...so handy. Police checked on us so it was quite safe. This is quite possible...interesting, as you need to cart all your luggage to the toilet when you go in the middle of the night....lol!!! This day ended this way, sleeping with a travel mask on in Heathrow, with LOTS of noises and escalators all night, but I slept....thanks for checking in!
