After an Indian breakfast ( Pongol rice, vada, idly ( with sambar gravy) coconut chutney and chill chutney, omelette ) I went to the Green shop ( organic shop) I bought various healthy goodies like tumeric tabs, citronella to keep flies away, soap, linen pants, and cotton shirt. All great prices. Then walked home. My room was cleaned well, and I am happy with it. It was a quiet day, but I called my friend Dinesh, and we went for a drink and chat. Soon after, I went to 4-6 PM yoga with Vinod at the Taj hotel. It was a good class. I walked into central Coonoor ( about 15 minutes) and met the massage guy from the Ayurvedic clinic. He wanted me to meet his parents, so I did. Then continued walking downtown, and bought 2 T shirts, cotton, for an excellent price. Dinesh had his car with him ( the one he uses to transport the tea pickers home every day) and after a very healthy light meal of vada with sambar, he dropped me off home. Dinesh's parents own a small tea estate but he says the tea processors pay little for the tea, but charge a lot after it is processed! I read my elephant book, and called reception for a bucket of steaming hot water. I added cold, and had a "bath" ( lol) wash with the little bucket. You would not survive doing this in your home in Canada, but it is so comfortable washing like this here, and you use very little water. It is like a full refreshing shower without the shower head and all done by hand.

Above and below: Chillies in the COONOOR market. Ubiquitous..lol! We walked around the market before having a bite to eat!
