Thursday June 9 Wellington: Ayurvedic retreat

Today was much the same as yesterday. The routine of massage, pills, consultations, yoga/medtation is good. My body is responding to the vegetarian diet, and the yoga is releasing muscular stress, and I can now do more. Belly fat is just not acceptable. I am starting to feel better. The serious weight loss systems have not happened yet. I went into town, Bedford for shampoo, to pick up my laundry, and see the travel agent. I booked a flight from Coimbatore to Chennai for Sunday night. I will go by taxi from here to the airport. I will stay overnight in Chennai and go to the Indian embassy in person to plead my case for a July visa. I plan to wear my OM T shirt!! It would be great if they renew my visa, and save me the cost of flying to Sri Lanka to renew it. We'll see.

I am keeping up with the 2 1/2 hours of yoga. Some of the asanas I can't do, but that's always ok. Most I can do, and I'm improving with more yoga, sleep, pills, great diet etc. I'm not missing red meat!! It is a retreat, and restful but tiring with the exercise. I hope to lose a lot of weight!! The staff are great. My yoga teacher is Sheimugan. I think that is how you spell it. He is Tamil. Classes are quite hectic, and some of the poses quite advanced. It is stretching my capabilities. He does the acupressure too, and is trying to help me deal with a left hand tremor. You really need your sleep here, and I am so enjoying this place. It took me long enough to find it.
