Of course I slept in! Late breakfast, brought by my favourite waiter, Sandeep, who used to bring me breakfast everyday in November in Mumbai!! Same breakfast.....not a lot changes here. This means that I had better bring about change in myself, as I don't want to stay like so many Indians who seem to be totally resigned to their fate. I believe we can and deserve a better life, and we need change. I see so many amazing Indians here that are so intelligent, and potentially so skilled, yet they have jobs that I could not handle at all. I admire their tenacity in holding such drab jobs, but am sad that they can't seem to change their mindset to bring about betterment. Of course I see so many people fast asleep in the daytime on the sidewalk, and it is so hot that I don't blame them. I'm productive in my room, but draggy when in the heat of Mumbai. The hotel room was gorgeous A/C is a necessity, but as you go into the corridor you enter a furnace of heat, like a Canadian furnace gone mad. I managed to get an Indian SIM and phone number but this took many hours to achieve, and lots and lots of paperwork. I was walking close to Marine Drive and happened on a Hindu celebration in full swing with instrument, costumes, yells etc. I was right in it and share some pics. The guys with the curly horns were very happy to be photographed!! Then I found my foot massage guy nearby, same guy, and had a 35 minute one.....so good to relax airplane legs, and English mountain climbing legs. I even got a regular massage which was excellent as I have been sitting way too much. Couldn't resist going into Gaylords bakery, picking a few goodies ( very cheap here) having a fresh lime soda, and heading back to the hotel. Time to have a small bite to eat ( I wasn't hungry) and pack up ready for another day of travel: Mumbai was just a break from planes, and a change to draw money and relax. Early night for early start tomorrow....thanks for checking in. I have checked in for tomorrow's flight to Coimbatore !!
